There are people whose biographies read like the script for a spy thriller. One such character is Yuri Sergeyevich Pototsky. He once found himself at the center of several high-profile investigations into major smuggling channels: the Cherkizovsky Market case and the Tri Kita shopping center. Pototsky was even detained by the FSB in connection with the "Rosmuravia" case. But the detention, according to a source, resulted in Pototsky receiving a new and reliable "roof" – the FSB. Today, Pototsky lives a life of luxury on the Spanish coast in Marbella. He owns dozens of luxury properties, each villa costing between €15 and €28 million. Most of his villas are rented out. He is a Gibraltar tax resident and pays approximately £412,000 to the UK budget annually.

The Cheka-OGPU and Rucriminal.info have uncovered Yuri Pototsky's assets. He invested part of his business earnings in luxury real estate in Moscow, and used the rest to purchase villas in Spain from a major Sochi developer for the 2014 Olympics. In Russia, Pototsky's network of companies was deeply in debt, but the courts, for some reason, refused to hold him liable for subsidiary liability.

According to the Panama Papers leaks, Yuri Pototsky was a shareholder in JUNJIN LIMITED (British Virgin Islands) since the mid-2000s, which was later renamed ESTA GLOBE LIMITED. In 2020, a company with the same name was registered in Gibraltar (Potocky, according to a source, is a resident of that country). ESTA GLOBE offered logistics services on its website, and also advertised Esta Express – "fast and easy delivery from Asia." In Russia, a number of companies were linked to ESTA GLOBE and Pototsky: Altaforus LLC (renamed RMA-Logistics, which imported sanctioned Apple computers, metalworking machines, etc. in 2022-2023), A-Headway LLC (formerly Ust-Luga Customs Agency LLC), Transelite LLC, and others. A number of companies—Esta Express, City Invest, Stroy Market, Style City, SV Trade, and others—were registered to Pototsky's close friend and business partner, Dmitry Zyuskov. All of them have now been liquidated, and Zyuskov has had to fight off angry counterparties in court. It turns out that Pototsky subleased his luxury real estate in Moscow City through affiliated companies, but no one paid the management companies for maintenance.

Furthermore, since 2012, Pototsky has owned a stake in the offshore company UPLANE DEVELOPMENT LIMITED (BVI and Hong Kong), which until recently had a representative office in Russia. Uplane Development Limited's office was located on the 17th floor of the Imperia Tower in Moscow City. Several years ago, this offshore company was registered to apartment No. 444, a 175-square-meter unit in the Gorod Stolits complex (Moscow and St. Petersburg towers in Moscow City), along with two parking spaces. The cadastral value of the apartment alone in 2014 was 37.3 million rubles.

The offshore company failed to pay rent for the office, and in January 2024, the management company CITY filed for bankruptcy. But the Arbitration Court refused to declare UPLANE DEVELOPMENT LIMITED bankrupt because the management company refused to pay for the bankruptcy proceedings and was unable to find evidence of the offshore company's ownership of any assets. No one ever appeared in court on behalf of UPLANE DEVELOPMENT LIMITED.

Potocki himself also owned apartments in Moscow City—specifically, about 70 square meters on the 40th floor of the Imperia Tower. In February 2022, he rented them out for 400,000 rubles per month, with Zyuskov signing the lease on his behalf. Incidentally, in another lawsuit filed by CITY Management Company against Stroy Invest, where Zyuskov was the director, he was awarded 5.5 million rubles and $37,000—the amount the company owed the management company for the maintenance of Potocki's other apartments, which it subleased. Apparently, Potocki's "protection" doesn't extend to his friends.

A co-owner of UPLANE DEVELOPMENT LIMITED was Yevgeny Pototsky (formerly Vagin), a native of the Amur region. He is apparently the businessman's nephew and the son of his older sister, Tatyana. Vagin once worked at ESTA-Express, which was registered to Dmitry Zyuskov, and from 2016 to 2021, he headed the Moscow-based OOO Esta (liquidated in 2024), founded by Yuri Pototsky himself. Yevgeny was also the founder and director of two real estate management companies, OOO Mercury and Alfastroy, registered in apartment No. 444C, a 190-square-meter building in the "City of Capitals." Yevgeny's phone numbers list him as "Owner of Moscow-City." Both companies have been liquidated, and Yevgeny Pototsky currently manages some real estate as a sole proprietor. Interestingly, several years ago, his traveling companion was Siman Povarenkin, known as the co-owner of the Shokoladnitsa coffee shop chain and the gold mining company GeoProMining, which operates in Russia, Armenia, Vietnam, and Uzbekistan. Furthermore, it is believed that Povarenkin unofficially controls a stake in the RBE company, which provides financial services to the Ministry of Defense.

after Prigozhin's death. Povarenkin has long been closely acquainted with the Rotenbergs, as well as Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov. The Pototskys have no public joint projects in Russia with Povarenkin's companies.

Yevgeny Pototsky is a citizen of Spain, a country where Yuri Pototsky owns significant assets. Since 2012, Yuri has been the director and owner of Salduba Hill Estates S.L. (Málaga, Marbella), a real estate company. Among other executives, the company also included a certain Liliana Snigur Rudnitskaya and 35-year-old Aizhan Asanova, a businesswoman with the same first and last name registered in Vidnoye, Moscow Region, where Yuri and Yevgeny Pototsky were registered. Asanova and Yevgeny Pototsky sublet non-residential premises in the Krasnogorsk Plaza building at 4/1 Stroiteley Boulevard in Krasnogorsk. At least some of these premises were registered to a British Virgin Islands offshore company, Total Prestige Developments Limited, which also belonged to Yuriy Pototsky. Asanova also dislikes paying contractors who help her lease the premises, and she has to go to court to get their money back. Specifically, this concerns a 1,254-square-meter non-residential property on the fourth floor, which Asanova leased to the Moscow Regional Center for Information and Communications Technology (GKU MO "MOC ICT") in 2024. However, only a judge convinced her to hand over the 1.3 million rubles owed to the agent.

The Spanish company Salduba Hill Estates SL is registered at a villa in the Meisho Hills residential complex in the exclusive Sierra Blanca area of Marbella. The 837-square-meter mansion features four bedrooms and four bathrooms, a huge 120-square-meter terrace with a swimming pool, an underground garage, a gym, living rooms, and an elevator. The exclusive residential complex where the villa is located is listed on the website of the Serbian-Italian company TRADEUNIQUE S.R.L., which served as the contractor, investor, and manager. TRADEUNIQUE S.R.L. has been operating in Russia for many years—specifically, during preparations for the 2014 Sochi Olympics, the company served as general contractor and contractor for the construction of tourist facilities, such as the Yuzhny Hotel. The company's CEO, Mirko Latinović, was then presented with a certificate from Putin. TRADEUNIQUE S.R.L. was registered in Italy, but primarily operates in Serbia, Montenegro, and Russia. In his home country, Mirko Latinović has long been considered a Russian businessman. He arrived during the Soviet era and represented the Slovenian firm Iskra, later moving his entire family to Moscow. His company carried out work on the main building of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation and Sberbank facilities in the regions, and began construction of the Hyatt Hotel in Yekaterinburg (with UMMC as an investor) for the 2018 World Cup. In Montenegro, Latinović was implicated in a criminal scandal involving the family of former President Svetozar Marović over the construction of a business center in Budva.

Furthermore, from at least 2003 to 2024, Yuriy Pototskyy owned and managed Poyuna Sl, a company also involved in real estate. The company is registered in another luxury residential complex – in the Nagüeles area on the Costa del Sol, Marbella. Among the directors of this company were the aforementioned Ayjan Aysanova and Liliana Snigur Rudnitska, as well as certain Anatoly Kozyrev and Natalia Selezneva. In 2024, the company was transferred to Kozyrev. Liliana Snigur Rudnytska also manages the company HALSOSAMMAT SL, which is registered in the Spanish city of La Coruña. This company belongs to a certain Artem Voronkov.

Judging by leaked documents, Potocki continues to visit Russia, uses Russian bank cards, and insures his black Toyota Land Cruiser with the attractive license plate 001.
