Specifically, Alexey Badeyev, Deputy Chief of the DVKR, is leaving his post. This is the first significant shakeup in the agency's structure since Ivan Tkachev was appointed head of the department. Ivan Tkachev is also running for the post of Director of the FSB.
The career of Vyacheslav Vdovichenko, Chief of the 9th Department of the DVKR and overseeing the central apparatus of military intelligence, is also under threat. He is accused of insufficient oversight of security measures within the GRU leadership.
