A new bald recruiter of prisoners for war has emerged in Russia. Several sources at the VChK-OGPU and Rucriminal.info reported that during his recent visit to Penal Colony No. 6, Lipetsk Region Governor Igor Artamonov (former vice president of Sberbank), surrounded by masked special forces soldiers with machine guns and helmets, began to urge prisoners to enlist in the war because they needed to "defend the Fatherland." The official was met with little understanding. Sources attribute the governor's fiery speech to the fact that his region's recruitment of new contract soldiers is failing to meet the figures issued by Moscow, and he decided to personally take on the recruitment effort, as he plans to take up a federal post in the fall.
