The Cheka-OGPU and Rucriminal.info became aware of the details of the story of the detention by special forces in Brazil at the request of Russia of the former military man Sergei Kotelnikov, whose entire body is covered in tattoos. As it turned out, he was wanted for involvement in an attempt to sell 620 kg of cocaine in briquettes with the image of football player Lionel Messi in the Russian Federation. The organizer of the drug supply is hiding under the pseudonym Omar Khayyam.

Representatives of the Brazilian authorities reported that a Russian was detained by special forces in Salvador. According to law enforcement officers, he is a former military man, and arrived in Brazil a month ago. After which he entered into negotiations with local gangs. The Russian offered them supplies of weapons, ammunition and drugs. The intelligence services found out about this and established that the suspect was also wanted by Interpol. As a result, he was detained during a special operation. He turned out to be 29-year-old Sergei Kotelnikov.

According to the Cheka-OGPU and Rucriminal.info, he and his wife Ekaterina had been living in Argentina for a long time, where they were engaged in various criminal activities. As a result, Sergei met a certain person who introduced himself as “Omar Khayyam.” He suggested that the Kotelnikovs organize a network for the sale of cocaine in Russia. Omar Khayyam took over the supply of a large batch. The couple agreed. As a result, Ekaterina involved her friend from Voronezh, Anika Selezneva, in the event. For a fee of $50,000, her task was to obtain cocaine, transfer it by car (it was believed that a girl driving would arouse less suspicion) and repack it into boxes. Since Anika did not have a license, they bought her a fake one. In turn, Sergei Kotelnikov involved his friend Kirill Knyazev (also for 50 thousand dollars). He had to monitor the car with cocaine for a “tail”, and then help Anika repack the cargo.

In December 2023, Selezneva and Knyazev arrived in the Moscow region and began to wait for the go-ahead from Omar Khayyam. He didn’t say where the cargo would be until recently. Then he said that the cocaine (apparently, it came to Russia from Argentina through the port in St. Petersburg) was in one of the garage boxes in Khimki, and also indicated where the key to it was hidden. There, in huge trunks, there were briquettes with the image of the Messiah. A total of 625 kg. The young people loaded the briquettes into the car and Anika drove towards one of the shopping centers. Next came Knyazev.

At the shopping center, in a special machine, they had to put the briquettes into cardboard boxes, seal them with adhesive tape and transport them to another location for subsequent retail sales.

However, the party was under the supervision of the FSB of the Russian Federation, who detained Selezneva and Knyazeva. Later, Ekaterina Kotelnikova was also taken into custody. As a result, Knyazev received nine and a half years in prison, Kotelnikov - nine, Seleznev - eight and a half. Sergei Kotelnikov was arrested in absentia and put on the international wanted list. Who “Omar Khayyam” is has not been established.
