As the Cheka-OGPU has learned, testimony against United Russia State Duma deputy Anatoly Voronovsky, who was stripped of his immunity today at the request of Prosecutor General Alexander Gutsan, was provided by Safarbiy Napso, former director of the Dagomys DRSU enterprise, who was convicted on October 27. Napso received a four-year prison sentence for fraud, embezzlement, and abuse of office (Part 4 of Article 159, Part 3 of Article 160, and Part 1 of Article 286 of the Russian Criminal Code). The criminal case was heard under a special procedure because Napso pleaded guilty and cooperated with the investigation. According to investigators, he bribed Voronovsky with apartments in Krasnodar and Sochi worth approximately 25 million rubles. The deputy stated today that he is willing to cooperate with the investigation and even voted to strip himself of his immunity (the State Duma resolution was adopted unanimously).
