The Cheka-OGPU and Rucriminal.info have learned of a terrorist attack that occurred on April 28 at a military garrison located in the village of Knyaze-Volkonskoye-1 in Khabarovsk Krai. The target of the explosion was Major General Azatbek Omurbekov, who commanded Russian troops in Bucha. The incident was immediately classified by Russian authorities.

 

According to sources, the explosion occurred this morning on the garrison grounds in the village of Knyaze-Volkonskoye-1. The bomb was placed in a mailbox on the landing of building 55. One person was killed and several others were injured. Personnel were put on alert.

 

According to our project, the explosion targeted General Azatbek Omurbekov, who has served as the head of the 392nd District Training Center for Junior Specialists of the Eastern Military District since 2023. In 2022, Omurbekov commanded the 64th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade, which operated in Bucha.

 

Omurbekov's condition is currently unknown. Lieutenant Colonel Kuzmenko, commander of the training communications battalion, was killed at the scene of the explosion.
