The incredibly successful southern "fruit king" Aydin Shirinov has shared his assets with Iskandar Makhmudov. As VChK-OGPU and Rucriminal.info discovered, the Ural oligarch's companies acquired the Stavropol-based Novy Oktyabr Agricultural Enterprise LLC and KMV-Agro Agricultural Enterprise LLC, which had formed the core of Shirinov's assets for over 20 years. Meanwhile, the UMMC co-owner has been plundering farmland in southern Russia for many years, and he was building his land fund in Stavropol at the same time as Shirinov. Thus, since 2014, Makhmudov, first directly and then through Violan LLC, owned the company Kosminvest, which by July 2022 owned approximately 160 hectares of agricultural land in the Stavropol and Rostov regions. Shirinov, meanwhile, had been acquiring land since the 2000s, and locals directly described his methods as blackmail and corporate raiding. For example, that same KMV-Agro (formerly the Rozovsky state farm) simply extorted land shares from farmers in 2008. More than 70 families refused to sell, but then a contract with forged signatures suddenly surfaced, transferring the land to the company. Incidentally, Shirinov registered some of the land personally—he now owns a total of approximately 5 hectares in the village of Rozovka.
Shirinov used the same method to accumulate tens of thousands of hectares of land in Staropolye for his companies, and a few years ago, he set out to conquer Karachay-Cherkessia. All these years, he's been remarkably lucky: no criminal cases, no large fines, and even the Federal Tax Service has been fairly kind to him. The only time KMV-Agro was assessed additional VAT, penalties, and fines totaling 3 million rubles was during a tax audit in 2009—at that time, FSB officers were involved to clarify all the circumstances.
Aydin Shirinov has long registered his assets in the names of relatives and nominees—perhaps a result of his two terms in the Stavropol Duma and his habit of hiding his hard-earned wealth. Thus, his mother, Fatimat Shirinova, was listed as the owner of the key asset, KMV-Agro, until July 2024. The company then came under the control of Kosminvest (50% owned by Iskandar Makhmudov) and Moscow resident Boris Dyshlyuk, who received a 0.001% stake. Dyshlyuk, a former manager at Segezha Group, worked after the pandemic at Agroconsulting Group, which is also associated with Makhmudov. Dyshlyuk also managed other companies associated with Kosminvest.
SPH Novy Oktyabr LLC was also previously part of Shirinov's portfolio and was registered to his employee, 41-year-old Larisa Adisova. For personal use, she uses the same email address used to register the bank accounts of Plodoobedinenie Sady Stavropolya LLC. Shirinov's mother, Fatimat Mustafayevna, also used the same email address to register for a money transfer service. The women also used the same phone number to place online orders. In 2024, Novy Oktyabr, a private enterprise, was acquired by Kosminvest and Boris Dyshlyuk. Less than a month ago, the company was liquidated, and its assets were divided: the legal successors were KMV-Agro and Oktyabr LLC (founded by Larisa Adisova). Interestingly, Novy Oktyabr was registered next to the Shirinovs' personal property—in the village of Nagutskoye, Mineralovodsky Urban District, at 1 Kolbasy Street, Building 1. The adjacent building, No. 10, a crushing plant with an area of 168 square meters, belongs to Fatimat Shirinova.
Currently, KMV-Agro and Novy Oktyabr are part of JSC PROSTORY AGROHOLDING, which is managed by the same Dyshlyuk, and whose founders are hidden from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities. Industry insiders believe that Iskandar Makhmudov is accumulating his agricultural assets in Prostory. It's possible that Shirinov held the Mineralnye Vody assets specifically for him in previous years, and the "fruit king's" incredible luck can be explained by his connection with the owner of UMMC.
Shirinov's enterprises are considered the largest recipients of state support, particularly subsidies for industrial fruit and berry nurseries. For example, his "Sady Stavropolya" Fruit Association received over 250 million rubles from 2019 to 2022 alone. The company was previously controlled by Zhanna Zhuchenko, a trusted employee of Shirinov, but is now registered as a private enterprise. Alla Pryanikova, who was also previously the founder of Pobeda Agricultural Enterprise LLC (liquidated due to bankruptcy in April 2022). Pryanikova is Shirinova's accountant. In her notebooks, her number is listed as "Grain Alla Mineral Waters" and "Alla Novy Oktyabr."
