Another corruption scandal is brewing in the Moscow region. As reported by the Cheka-OGPU and Rucriminal.info, the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow, at the request of investigators, has arrested Alexey Shchaulin, the first deputy head of the Bogorodsky Urban District. He is charged with accepting a bribe on an especially large scale (Part 6, Article 290 of the Russian Criminal Code). The official was detained earlier this week while on sick leave. Shchaulin's position is currently being reduced. The corresponding decision was approved by a district council deputy back in late October.
