Before the state seized 62.5 billion rubles worth of assets from former Kuban Legislative Assembly deputy Alexey Sidyukov, he was also "dispossessed" by Ramzan Kadyrov's inner circle, with the participation of the Chechen leader himself.

 

According to a source, in early autumn 2025, Alexey Sidyukov learned that he was in serious trouble and was facing an anti-corruption lawsuit and criminal charges. He turned to our regular guest, Yakov Khachanyan, a friend of Ramzan Kadyrov's, and the "wallet" and advisor to DPR head Denis Pushilin. According to the source, Khachanyan promised to resolve the problem "through Kadyrov" and other influential figures. A "fantastic sum" was also announced, of which Sidyukov allocated $10 million, allegedly for organizational matters.

 

As a result, on September 23, 2025, a significant high-level meeting was held in Grozny. It included Kadyrov himself, Chairman of the Chechen Republic Government Magomed Daudov, DPR Head Pushilin, DPR Senator Alexander Voloshin, DPR Head Advisor Yakov Khachanyan, Alexey Sidyukov, and Miroslav Tertel (son of the Belarusian KGB Chairman). The event was called a "meeting on 'Investments in the Development of the DPR.'" The source says that the actual discussion focused on the issue of Alexey Sidyukov, who was introduced to Kadyrov as someone willing to invest very large sums of money in various republican funds and the DPR.

Kadyrov instructed Daudov to organize interaction with Sidyukov through Khachanyan.

 

"I sincerely thank my dear brothers for their visit. I am confident that together we will continue to work productively for the benefit of our republics," a satisfied Kadyrov said following the event.

 

However, on April 10, 2026, the courts, acting on a lawsuit filed by the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, ruled to seize assets worth a whopping 62 billion rubles from Sidyukov. According to the source, Chechen representatives and Khachanyan are now demanding that Sidyukov pay the entire amount and fulfill all investment promises to avoid criminal liability. They promise to resolve the issue with a "call to the top brass."
